EcoSan was the first southern-based business to offer sanitary, nappy and incontinence recycling.

EcoSan converts sanitary, nappy and incontinence waste into energy, which is then used to power homes.

Sanitary, Nappy and incontinence recycling

An average baby will get through 6,000 disposable nappies. EcoSan divert 100% of all sanitary and nappy waste from landfill. Other suppliers choose to landfill nappies, which take 500 years to breakdown.

In the UK, more than one million tonnes of absorbent hygiene products (‘AHP’) waste (much of it from the commercial sector) is generated annually, the majority being sent to landfill. We’re determined to reduce this figure whilst helping cut our customers’ carbon output and saving them money.
